Finale 2007a has been released. Details are as follows:

• Enhanced Mac Intel Scanning Support - Updated to a universal binary format, Finale’s SmartScore® Lite scanning utility now runs natively on Intel-based Macs.
• Updated Human Playback
• New Human Playback features now provide additional choices for instrument, technique, action, and filter settings in the Instruments Technique  Effects pane including full support for Garritan Stradivari Violin. Also, diminuendos on long ending notes can now be disabled.
• Contextual Help system - Finale’s contextual help system has been updated for compatibility with Intel-based Macs.
• Additional improvements and fixes.

If you’ve been into the FinaleIRC channel a few times, it’s a good idea to register your nickname. This keeps others from attempting to impersonate you (a rare occurrence, but annoying nonetheless) by assigning a password to your chosen nick.
